The Chennai based Gandhi Peace Foundation in collaboration with ABCD ( Anybody Can Draw), an art group which conducts many workshops in Doha to encourage all age groups to take up art as a hobby, conducted an Art workshop for 60 students of Class 6 from Chennai High School ( Vanniya Teynampet Chennai – 18) and educated them on Warli paintings, a tribal art. With this simple form of art the children were encouraged to bring out innovative ideas on water conservation from their young minds.

Mrs. Shreya Suraj, an Artist and Founder of ABCD, introduced the basics of Warli art to the students. The young ones were enthusiastic to learn a new form of art. This initiative was undertaken to teach the students about the ways of water conservation and its importance.

In the beginning of the workshop, Dr. S. Kulandaisamy, Secretary of GPF, shared his thoughts on the noble qualities of former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Sri. K. Kamaraj and also explained how Mahatma Gandhi simplified his life to save the resources of Mother Earth.
